Q: How do I make my flowers last longer?

A: The best way to ensure your flowers last longer than your wedding day, is to care for them properly. If you have a natural stemmed bouquet, then the best thing you can do for them is to recut the ends of the stems and place them into a vase of fresh water. As this is not always possible during the day, then be sure to do this at the end of the day.

If your flowers have been arranged into a bridie holder, then all you need to do is pour a bit of water into the middle of the flowers a few times during the day. How often depends on the weather. If it is hot, then water them more frequently than if it was winter.

Q: Are there certain flowers that last longer than others?

A: Native flowers work lovely in weddings and also last a very long time. Orchids, chrysanthemums and anthiriums last very well also. Roses and gerberas don't have a long life expectancy when they are cut short and out of water. Generally speaking, most bouquets tend to last two or three days after your wedding day. So long as the weather isn't too warm and they are well watered, you should receive a few extra days from them!

Q: Do my bridesmaids have to have the same flowers as me?

A: Not necessarily. You may choose to have a traditional style bouquet and your bridesmaids may have hand tied bouquets. This will allow you to vary the selection of flowers you have in them. You may want to keep within the colour theme and change the flowers you use which is something that will also work well.

Q: Can you deliver the flowers for us or will we need to pick them up?

A: We are more than happy to deliver your flowers to both the ceremony and reception venues, as well as delivering your bouquets and any other requirements to your desired address.

Q: How soon should I be organising the flowers for my wedding day?

A: The ideal time frame is approximately 6 months before the big day. This enables us enough time to meet with you and to confirm your booking date. You are more than welcome to contact us up to a year before your wedding day but we would be keeping in contact regularly, reassuring you of the availability and the quality.

Q: I am from the country and don't come to Perth very often? How do I go about organising my flowers?

A: We have worked with many different customers as far north as Darwin and have even organised weddings via email, without even meeting with the bride and groom until their big day. Communication is a very important key to ensuring we have a clear understanding of what you would like. We are more than qualified to provide you with the service and knowledge that is required to ensure your day goes exactly the way you imagine it to be.
